Our Story
Bolted to the doorframe is a small brass maker's plate — the only clue to where it all began: Trailway Coach, manufactured by Steeves Brothers, Oregon City, Oregon. Our trailer was hand-built in aluminum in 1941, in a small Pacific Northwest workshop, during the golden age of the great American road trip.
Little survives in the record about the Steeves Brothers themselves — only a handful of these polished aluminum coaches remain scattered across the country, each one hand-built and a little different from the next. That rarity is part of the magic. When guests step inside, they're stepping into a genuine piece of mid-century craftsmanship that's been on the road for more than eight decades.
We call her Loretta. Mirror-polished panels, warm wood floors, and a soft, inviting interior give her a quiet glow — the kind that comes only from a long life we can only partly trace. She has carried many stories down many roads, and we wish we knew them all. Today she travels the Arizona desert as The Chrome Edit: a 1941 coach reimagined as a luxury mobile photo studio. Polished. Captured. Delivered.
